-Don't start with a circle -Don't paint concentric circles
-Use layers. Adding layers will make your roses look fuller. -Use a thicker watercolor brush
Paint 3 small marks for the center.
Add more water to your brush and use the belly of the brush to create petals.
Make some areas thick and thin. Make the edges uneven to look more realistic.
Continue adding petals around the center, leaving white space between the petals.
Dilute the paint as you go so that the outer petals are the lightest.
While the paint is wet, add drops of a darker color. This provides depth and interest.
Next, add the leaves. Use the tip of the brush to make the leaves spiky.
